‘70s country-rock/soft-rock legends America are heading back Down Under in July. The duo of Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell — fellow co-founding member Dan Peek's passed in 2011 — will showcase their biggest hits like ‘A Horse With No Name’, ‘Ventura Highway’ and ‘Sister Golden Hair’, and they’ve invited the our own great Russell Morris to join them on the tour (excluding Qld).
In addition to their own headline concerts, they’re also co-headlining the Broadbeach Country Music Festival alongside Kasey Chambers and Troy Cassar-Daley. That show – and the entire 3-day festival - is free!
Complete dates are below and further info is here.
If you haven’t heard it in a while, here’s ‘Horse With No Name’ for you. And Kasey’s beautiful duet with Keith Urban, ‘If We Had A Child’, from her 2017 album Dragonfly. Check out Amercia’s first couple of classic albums – ‘America’ and ‘Homecoming’ – and Kasey’s new one ‘Dragonfly’- on Spotify.
