Sad news to hand this week, of the passing of Chelsea Brown, the African-American entertainer who made her name alongside Goldie Hawn in Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-in TV program in the late ‘60s before moving to Australia in the ‘70s and becoming very much a household name thanks to her ubiquitous TV appearances.
She was also a great singer and one wonders why she didn't pursue a recording career more actively.
Check out this great disco-funk track from 1982, and then a snippet of her singing on E-Street:
RIP Chelsea Brown
