In a recent journal entry that reads like a dystopian renaissance masterpiece, spiritual goddess, Stevie Nicks has called on us all to “change into spiritual warriors” and “make it our mission to fight this virus.” And, while not all celebrities have proven to be the reliable sources of information during the pandemic, Stevie’s combination of pop culture references – quoting CSNY’s “Our House” and the Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses” – and imperative poetry might be the unifying voice needed to save the world right now.
Lying awake with a stomachache, listening to Pandora, Nicks reflects on feeling safe in that moment, but knows the feeling won’t last. However, in true Nicks form, instead of dwelling on the negatives, she manages turns the crisis into a Game of Thrones-style epic, where we all have a heroic role to play “in order for us to get back to our former lives.” Frankly, it’s one of the most inspiring public service announcements we’ve seen yet.
